Web development is a whole different ball game once the design is done - it's important to make sure the site downloads quickly, is visible to search engines, and still retains the client's corporate identity. We work in a number of ways, but mostly..

we develop a web look on behalf of designers to maintain the current branding, taking into onsideration how the site will look in various browser sizes etc.
or in the case of more experienced designers, work from style setters (often flat jpegs or gifs)
